About the Event
Join in person at UBC Robson Square in Vancouver, BC to discover the contraceptive landscape and unmet needs for contraception as well the benefits and risks of contraceptive options in Canada. Limited spots available for small group hands-on implants and IUD workshops hosted by local and experienced providers.
Skills Gained
Participants will be able to:
- Describe the contraceptive landscape and unmet needs for contraception in Canada
- Compare the benefits and risks of the etonogestrel subdermal implant and intrauterine contraception
Workshop A: Implants
- Gain expertise in inserting, localizing and removing the etonogestrel subdermal implant
Workshop B: IUDs
- Gain expertise in inserting IUDs and troubleshooting difficult insertions
